Friends of The Nyack Library

Book Nook

The "Book Nook" has a wide assortment of books and media available for purchase at reasonable prices: $1 hardcovers, 50 cents for paperbacks, 25 cents for children's books and media as marked.  All the proceeds benefit the library. Please come and visit the library's ongoing book sale located on the lower level of the library adjacent to the Computer Resource Center and now also on the 3rd floor of the new wing. Donations are currently accepted 10-12 on Tuesdays and Thursday in the Red Barn.

Mission Statement:

The Friends of the Nyack Library are volunteers who love books and who appreciate the role of the library.  In sharing our love of books and understanding the vital part the library plays in the community, our goal is to reach out in a variety ways to enhance library services.

 

Annual membership dues are $15 for individual and $25 for family/joint

Some of the contributions to the Nyack Library from The Friends of The Nyack Library include:

-The Ruth Easter collection of books for the Children's Room
-Restoration of historic maps and paintings
-Purchase of equipment, including the new ScanPro digital microfilm reader/scanner
