The Summer Reading Program (SRP) for children ages 4-11 (entering grades K-5) is a six-week series (July 1 – August 14) of fun and FREE activities that revolve around reading and a chosen theme. Keep track of your reading at home with a special log, and come back to the library for special activities and prizes!
This year’s theme is Unearth A Story, and all of our special events will focus on dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures!
The fun begins on Monday, June 29th at our Kick Off Party with David Engel.
Registration will open June 1st, 2026 @ 10:00 am.
Space is limited, so please register for the party here: www.nyacklibrary.org/eventscalendar.html#/events/MnBp6JOuL9/instances/zFfivv4zgW/
Children ages 2-4 are very welcome to join our Early Literacy Program! You will be asked to complete an activity sheet filled with fun, literacy skill enhancing things to do with your little one. Once complete, please show your sheet to a Children’s Room Staff member to get a free book!
