Rules of Use
- Laptops are available to adult Nyack Library patrons (18 years+) in good standing only. A current Nyack Library card is required.
- The loan period is two hours on the same day. After two hours, extensions will be given only if no one is waiting.
- Laptops are for in-house use only and cannot leave the library. They are to be picked up and returned only to the Reference Desk.
- If a computer is taken outside the library, it ceases to function.
A late fee of $10 per day, up to the cost of the laptop ($400), will be imposed for every day the laptop is not returned to the Reference Desk and is taken outside the library.
Lost or damaged laptops will result in the patron’s account being charged for a replacement equal to the device’s total value.
Failure to abide by these regulations may result in the forfeiture of borrowing privileges for laptops.
Regulations may be revised at any time.
